The container throughout of Haicang port has broken through 5 million TEUs

It is reported that the container throughout of Haicang Port sums to 5.1318 million TEUs in the first eleven months of this year, among which the import and export containers for the foreign trade reach up to 3.8743 million TEUs, with the year-on-year growth of 19.66%; the containers for the domestic trade reach 1.2575 million TEUs, with the year-on-year growth of 18.51%.
There are mainly three reasons for thegrowth of the containers in Haicang port. Firstly, various preferential policies have been implemented in the free trade area of Fujian Province, which increases the radial force of the port; secondly, there are prominent resource advantages in the port, with long shoreline, where large ships have strong mooring adaptability; with collectivization operation and intensified scheduling ability, the port is able to realize resource sharing, which can optimize the traffic organization and increase the speed of entering andleaving port; thirdly, with the continuous growth of structural adjustment, and timely ship route adjustment,it tries to make the container pivot port for domestic and foreign trade become larger and stronger.
