The western sea area of Xiamen Island used to be the island resembling an elephant -- Xiangyu Island. Since Xiamen became one of the earliest 4 economic special zones in China, the beautiful Xiangyu Terminal, the first container terminal on Mainland China, was controlled by foreign investor for operation. The founder of the enterprise, Mr. Cheng Youguo, led a core team composed of 10-odd persons, set about their business start-up at Xiangyu Terminal, so the company “Xiangxing” took shape, meaning “business prosperity by benefiting from Xiangyu Island”.

With a view to providing more professional service to its clients, the company set up Xiamen Xiangxing International Logistics Service Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Xiangxing International Logistics”), to engage in the comprehensive logistics service. At present, Xiangxing International Logistics has the registered capital up to RMB 50 million yuan with the total assets nearly 100 million yuan and also has the wholly-owned subsidiary -- Xiamen Xiangyu Terminal Service Co., Ltd. The service scope of Xiangxing International Logistics mainly involves three major fields, respectively inland transport, comprehensive agency and terminal service related to the import and export operation procedures with the total number of employees more than 750 persons. The company has two port zones in Xiamen Port (Dongdu Port Zone and Hailun Port Zone) to effectively provide the most comprehensive logistics service.
